  Thailand

Thailand is a place that everyone should visit at least once. There are many things to see and many surprises in store for you. Whether you are interested in eastern culture, beaches, people, or heritage sites, Thailand has something to offer about everything.

Places to see

Bangkok

This is probably the most famous international destination that tourists have in mind when they think of Thailand. Bangkok's capital has a population of 10 million and is the biggest city in the country. The six most important city divisions for tourists are Ratchadaphisek, Sukhamvit, Silom, Thonburi, Rattanakosin, and Phahanyothin. The city of Bangkok offers a diverse experience in culture, history, religion, and modern life. You can visit Buddhist temples, historical museums, tall buildings, contemporary restaurants and hotels, shopping centers, river, and not to mention the food and recipes that are unique to Thailand.

Phuket

In the south you can find some really great beaches, tropical sunsets, white sands and blue seas. It is one of the most beautiful beach destinations in all of Asia and neighboring countries. Some of the popular beaches are Kata Beach, Karon Beach, Patong Beach, Kamala Beach, and Surin Beach. Phuket Island also offers many water sports like parasailing, jet skiing, and scuba diving. There is plenty of shopping to do at night when you are not on the beach.

Chiang Mai

It's the second largest city in Thailand with a population of 200,000. It is a much greener and quieter option to the more metropolitan attractions. Things to see in Chiang Mai include museums like Hilltribe Research Institute Museum and the Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Center. The city simple oozes religion and history and you can witness many Buddhist temples like Wat Chiang Mun, Wat Phra Singh, Wat Oo-Mong, Wat Phra Jao Mengrai, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, and Wat Chedi Luang. The oldest temple is dated somewhere around the 11th century. Bo Sang Umbrella & Sankampang Handicrafts Festival is held in January and then there is also the Chiang Mai Flower Festival in February. The Loi Krathong Festival is typically in the month of November.

Pattaya

Located to the north of Bangkok, Pattaya has wonderful beaches, beer, go-go bars, and many sports activities.

Krabi

It is a small province which has a small town by the same name. Time spent visiting Krabi when you are in Thailand is time well spent. It is located to the south of Bangkok near Phuket and Phi Phi Island. The small town has many beaches with high end hotels.
