| The Sesimbra village is located in the middle of the so called 'Costa Azul', set on a curving turquoise bay 40 km south of Lisbon.
Sesimbra is both an attractive fishing town and popular tourist resort. Protected from north winds by the slopes of the Serra da Arrábida, it was occupied by the Romans and later the Moors.
12 km west of Sesimbra, there is a flat promontory of Cabo Espichel, a wild enchanted place with magnificent views northwards to Lisbon and the mouth of the River Tagus.
Sesimbra is also located in core of the Setúbal peninsula which means that the neighborhood is made of 2 natural reserves such as beautiful Arrábida reserve and the Sado river estuary reserve (known for its colony of dolphins). For the golf fans, there are 3 golf courses (Perú,Aroeira and Montado) in the proximity. |
