| The apartment is the ground floor of a large villa and only available for rentals during the owners absence giving you the benefits of a villa holiday at apartment price.
The apartment is 100 msq and is surrounded by its own private terrace, with 3 large sets of double doors leading from the living area to the pool and sun terraces
The swimming pool is 50 msq with wide circular steps making entry easy and a good size for swimming lengths..
The villa and apartment are directly south facing and are surrounded by olive and almond groves.
From the baba dag (father) mountain you can see paragliders taking off and from the higher terraces you can see the sea.
Although Turkey is hot in the summertime the cool mountain breezes make air conditioning unnecassary although fans are provided.
Because of its secluded location this is an ideal 'get away from it all' property . |

| Boat Trips..the best one from Oludeniz beach which goes to St Nicholas Island and Butterfly Valley(and 4 other stops ) others include the Fethiye 12 Island (but only stops at 6!). all great value for money and the only way to see lots of the coastline.
White water rafting.. On the dalaman river.
Fethiye
A bustling harbour town with a large market on Tuesdays. Lots of shops and restaurants in Paspatur, the bazaar area of the town ,garden cafes line the harbour front where you can watch the Gulet yachts coming and going. The fishmarket is open every day and evening ,and if you like fish you can pick your own and then the surrounding restaurants will cook for you, very cheap ,very fresh and very good. Can be very hot in the height of summer so best to go early or for the evening, most shops stay open until late.
Kaya Ghost Town
A beautiful valley only 10 minutes on the bus from the apartmen. On the lefthand side of the valley is a Greek town ,deserted for more than 80 years.Wandering through the ruins , looking at the old churches and charnal house is a strange experience. Good restaurants in the valley are Cinbals(highly recommended .. no menu, slow cooked lamb, followed by mezzes and a barbecue brought to your table, absolutely delicious, totally turkish with very few tourists but always full !),Levissi, purely for its beautiful location, a renovated schoolhouse with a backdrop of spotlit ruins,or Istanbul for more European cuisine. And if you wanted to hear some local bands Karmylassos is good on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Saklikent Gorge
Best seen in tandem with Tlos, or Patara beach, this is the second longest gorge in europe and is a very relaxing place to spend the afternoon, for a small entrance fee you can see how far you can climb through the gorge or if your feeling lazy there are lots of wooden platforms with cushions on,derving drinks and lunch.. Or for the more adventurous funny rafting should be tryed, very good fun especially if there is a group of you.
Tlos
The ruins of Tlos are perched high on the hilltop overlooking Saklikent valley, amphitheatre and castle are part of the attractions, about 800 metres past the ruinds is a beautiful and unusual restaurant called Yakapark, full of waterfalls streams, with trout swimming through the bar, this is a particularly good place for children, they all seem to love exploring the gardens and getting wet in the streams
Dalyan Turtle beach and mud bath
Normally done as an excursion as its cheaper and easier than doing it under your own steam, highlights include the mud bath,Dalyan village,Caunos rock tombs and turtle beach each place is reached by river boat that navigates through the Dalyan Delta where ‘African Queen’ was filmed
Gocek
A pretty little harbour town with three large marinas, lots of nice upmarket restaurants and shops.Best to go late afternoon/early evening , promenade and then find a nice fish restaurant and watch the sun go down.If you are interested in sailing this is the starting point of most flotilla holidays
Calis
Always cooler than Oludeniz although nowhere near as pretty, a straggling resort but if you are interested in windsurfing this is the place to go,lessons and board hire are available for reasonable rates at the Windsurfing club at the very far end of Calis beach
Butterfly Valley
This is one of the stops on the Oludeniz boat trip or you can go on one of the water taxis that go 4 times a day.Do not expect to see clouds of butterflys, lots of different and rare species normally hiding very successfully near the waterfall! A hang out for backpackers ,very peaceful and relaxing once the day trip boats have gone.
Horse riding..for beginners and experienced riders
Paragliding .. Oludeniz is the paragliding capital of Europe with championships held in October.Jumps are from the top of Babadag Mountain in Ovacik
Microlighting..over the Hisaronu valley
Scuba diving.. Beginners, padi courses and special dives available
Day sailing.. Book in advance, from fethiye bay
Windsurfing.. Can be arranged from Calis beach
Quad biking..as either a group or individually
Car /mini bus hire.. With or without a driver ,but a good way to get off the beaten track and explore the unspoilt turkish countryside.
Hiking.. Many good interesting walks in the area which are signposted and routemarked, including the Lykian Way,speak to Lisa at Guide Tours for more information |
