| Our cottage is near the centre of the small, quiet and picturesque village of Loubes-Bernac in the Lot-et-Garonne region of France, a few miles south of the Dordogne, making it an excellent base for exploring the beautifully open and rolling countryside.

Set deep in the countryside, amidst the fields of vineyards and sunflowers, lies the quaint village of Loubes-Bernac – A perfect “get away from it all” holiday retreat. Whether your pleasure be golf, walking, wine tasting, horse riding, bike riding, canoeing or just relaxing, this area has it all and still retains a typically French atmosphere. |

| The cottage which is beamed throughout is thought to be over 150 years old and the accommodation comprises of:
Bedroom 1: A large room with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside cabinets.
En-suite shower room.
Bedroom 2: With 2 single beds, wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinets.
Family Bathroom: bath with shower.
Large fitted kitchen/dining room with fridge/freezer, gas cooker, microwave, washing machine. Log burning stove and all amenities.
Huge lounge with sofa’s, Tv/video machine (no tv connected), stereo and loads of character.
The cottage has a lovely, private, gated garden with a selection of garden furniture and a large tree providing shade in the summer months. Views of the village and church.
The village has a shop selling basic necessities, fresh bread & croissants, a post office and a restaurant/bar/takeaway pizzeria – Chez Nellie. There are many excellent restaurants in the region aswell as supermarkets, banks and all the local towns have markets.
Lac de Caselgaillard is less than 10 minutes by car and offers watersports, horse riding, fishing, archery, mountain bike rental, mini golf, bars, restaurants and dirt bike excursions. There are several golf courses in the area including the renowned Chateau des Vigiers within 10 minutes drive of the cottage.
Bordeaux, Bergerac, Montbazillac and Saint Emillion are just a few of the many varieties of wine produced within the area, offering tasting and buying. The area is also well known for its fruit, especially plums and prunes. |

| With a magnificent chateau at nearby Duras and several very attractive towns such as Eymet, Ste Foy la Grande, Bergerac and Marmande all within half an hours drive. The beach resort of Arcachon with the largest sand dunes in Eurpoe and pine forests are just over an hours drive away. The airport at Bergerac is just 20 minutes drive from the cottage with the airport and city of Bordeaux within an hours drive. |
